3G RF Network Planning and Optimization Senior Engineer
(Others - Taipei/Taichung/Kaohsiung,Taiwan)

Responsibilities:

Job Scope
Network design & planning in GSM and WCDMA (UMTS, CDMA2000, CDMA 1X)

* Knowledge of 3G planning tools and/or Nemo is desired.
* Knowledge of Nokia UTRAN network is a plus.
* Able to write programs for GIS like MapInfo, macros for excel / access etc.
* Programming in Access Database, and MapInfo
* Clusterization & Optimization procedures
* Drive test measurement tools such as TEMS, Metatron and TOMS
* GSM or WCDMA Network Design & Anlysis.
* 2G & 3G Theory & network architecture

The main job scope will be 3G Optimization

* 3G RAN Optimization
* Benchmarking
* Drive Testing
* Event Failure Analysis
* On-job training to Junior Engineers
* Report generation

Experience:

* Defining RF parameters such as antenna types, tilt, and heights, power budgets, up-link/down-link path balance, ERP, Ec/No, RSCP
* Knowledge of RF test equipment, data collection methodology, and RF data analysis
* Some experience in Nokia NetAct applications skills for Fault Management and Configuration Management
* Identifies test areas and develops drive test requirements for use by Drive Test Technicians
* Actix Analyzer
* MapInfo
* WCDMA/IS-95 planning experience
* 3G Optimization (CS+PS)
* Nokia RAN experience (desirable but not essential)

Work Location: Taipei/Taichung/Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Accommodation: To be provided by Company

Requirements:
* Candidate must posses at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Enginnering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/information Technology or equivalent.
* Required skill(s): Window XP
* At least 2 year(s) of working experience, preferably with Nokia WCDMA system.
* Applicants must be willing to work in Taipei, Taiwan.
* Applicants should be Malaysian, Singaporean, Indian or Thai.
* Full-Time and Contract position available.
* A good team player, with strong analytical reasoning and problem solving skills, self-motivated, independent, aggressive and good communication skills.
