In line with our expansion, we are looking for dymanic and qualified individuals to fill the following position to be based in one of our subsidiary:
HSE Manager
(Kuala Lumpur job- Wisma UOA Damansara)
Responsibilities:
- Plans, implements and manages all company safety initiatives introduced to the units.
- Conducts hazard inspections for all areas of work in coordination with the RSTC and Person in Charge (PIC) on the units. Do regularly Inspection and Audits to ensure that necessary safety precautions are followed.
- Assist in risk assessments, inspections, audits, and accident investigations; sets personal example.
- Develops and implements Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) as required; reviews and communicates comments on JSAs performed by others.
- Works close with Unit Supervisors and crews to improve safety standards and practices by participating in tool-box or Procedure talks
- Coordinates and conducts Occupational Hygiene monitoring, and implements measures to mitigate identified hazards.
- Ensure facility safety training is ongoing as required as per matrix; performs audits on Third Party Offshore Training providers supplied to Rigs.
- Oversee and ensure the units Manages the Safety Training Observation Program (STOP).
- Coordinates with RSTC and PIC to ensure regular safety meetings are planned, organized, and executed according to company guidelines; calls additional meetings as needed to address special situations and circumstances.
- Follows company QAHSE policies and procedures and performs all duties in accordance with the Permit to Work System. Administers the Permit to Work System.
- Coordinates with RSTC and PIC to ensure regular safety meetings are planned, organized, and executed according to company guidelines; calls additional meetings as needed to address special situations and circumstances.
- Recommends improvements to the Safety Management System, emergency response plan, and health and environmental programs. Updates the company QSMS Policies and procedures with revisions as and when required and issues to Fleet and area & corporate offices.
Requirements:
Education:
- Must have a secondary school diploma or educational equivalent.
- Preferred education within HSE or engineer degree
- Advances First Aid (BLS) or EMT 1 certification preferred.
Professional Experience:
- Preferred to have some experience that includes a designate safety responsibility.
- Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, and Other Requirements:
- WSO or equivalent certification is required.
- STCW or equivalent certification is required.
- Knowledge of all applicable health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations is required.
- Must be able to use PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
