Public Health Counterpart (1 Position)/Location : Mae Sot, Tak Province
Location : MAE SOT and MAE LA Temporary Shelters
I. Presentation:-
SOLIDARITES, international French Non-Governmental Organization implementing humanitarian activities in Thailand, is recruiting for its programs in Mae Sot for the Mae La Temporary Shelter.
II. Responsabilities:
In collaboration with the Project Manager, the Public Health Counter part will:
* Manage the overall running of the public health, hygiene training and vector control activities in and around the camp
* Attend external meetings and represent the organisation if required
* Identify, select, train and motivate public health staff for the project
* Manage human resources and logistics related to public health activities on project in compliance with Solidarit้s’ rules.
* Manage all administrative procedure, financial and budget planning related to the public health activities in compliance with Solidarit้s’ rules
* Help set up hygiene promotion programme in collaboration with Project Manager and social supervisors.
* Manage epidemic outbreak contingency plan
* Assist Project Manager in all planning of new programme aspects as it may be decided by the coordination team
* Communicate orally weekly with internal staff meetings and other external meeting which may take place
* Communicate by written report to coordination team
REQUIREMENTS:
* Have thorough knowledge of public health, vector control, epidemic outbreak control, hygiene promotion (PHAST, HESP), project management
* Computer skills (Pack Office)
* Medical background is favoured (doctor, public health expert)
* Additional epidemiological experience will be welcome
* Speak, read and write fluently English and speak and write Burmese (Karen). Speaking French is a plus.
