Job description
Product Modeling position encompasses development of System X sales configurator, particularly in enforcing engineering rules both on the server and solution level. Candidates will initially be involved in delivering new server models and maintaining the existing ones and possibly move on to the development of the configurator framework. Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design and ability to write SQL script is required. Good understanding of computer hardware products will be an added advantage. Qualified individuals must be self directed, organized, fast at picking up new knowledge and concepts. Candidates should also be flexible in term of working hours due to the need to communicate with the US team.
Skills and abilities
The following skills are necessary for this job. Each skill has been assigned a requested proficiency level by the hiring manager. The level ranges from 1-5 (low to high).
Requested proficiency level (rated from 1 to 5)
Java 4
Eclipse/NetBeans/RSA 3
Hardware Knowledge 3
Database experience (DB2, SQL) 3
AIX/UNIX/LINUX or Windows 3
Object Oriented Concept & Design 4
Solid verbal and written communication skills 4
