Head of Medical Affairs & Quality
The Person:
- Recognized Degree in Medicine or a related Healthcare discipline from an accredited university
- Malaysian citizen
• Substantial and proven experience, with at least 10 years’ direct working experience in healthcare management, and at least 5 years at the Senior Management level
- Strong leadership and business skills
- Physician leader with successful experience in guiding multidisciplinary clinical programme activities
- Background in academic medicine with experience in clinical development outcomes/quality measurement and/or clinical research
- Preferably with a proven track record in handling a hospital operating environment and possess some exposure as a Physician .
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Performance Improvement: Work with all elements of the health system, with a focus on physicians and nurses, and a leadership role in developing quality metrics based on standards of care
- Clinical Development Strategy/Centre of Excellence: Set and align the medical affairs, quality agenda and manage the relationships among the various physician activities of the Group of Pantai Hospitals
- Strategic Alignment of Physician/Consultant Services: Provide leadership in the alignment of physicians and physician services with health system strategic plans and clinical development programme priorities
- Quality Management & Standards: Lead the development of the health systems clinical quality agenda, including consistent performance targets and metrics, setting a standard of care, measuring and improving clinical outcomes, and disseminating best practices
- Engagement & Client Relationship Management: Facilitate key physician committees aimed at both alignment of strategic clinical development programmes, integration of standards of care, and driving continuous improvement of quality and high medical standards including Clinical Quality development, Regulations, Medical Affairs committees, Centre of Excellence focus, Accreditation & Standards and other areas of support i.e. nursing, technology, etc. that relate to quality improvement at Pantai Hospitals
