Financial Controller
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, operations and control of the full spectrum of accounting processes and functions of the Club, covering financial and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, internal controls, financial analysis, cash management and treasury, tax, audit, corporate/statutory compliance; Lead the finance team to provide the full spectrum of financial and accounting activities for the Club to meet business needs and goals. This includes general accounting, financial, management and regulatory reporting, internal controls, tax planning and legal issues, cash and credit control functions; Provide timely and sound financial advice to senior management in relation to corporate and strategic initiatives; Provide effective communications to all levels to drive financial performance and internal control; Oversee accounting activities in accordance with the Club policies and procedures and responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting and statements; Oversee preparation of monthly and yearly financial reporting for General Committee’s review, statutory and tax reporting, GST compliance process; Maintain relationships with appointed auditor, solicitor, banks and key vendors .
Your Profile:
You should have a degree in Accountancy / Finance, a CPA is an advantage; minimum 8 years of related experience with at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in a management role; proven track record as a contributing member to the senior management team with the ability to lead and work alongside an existing finance team; Dynamic, strategic, self starter, possessing business acumen and strong leadership, planning, problem solving, organisational and analytical skills; Familiarity with statutory reporting requirements; Sound technical knowledge and strong operational and financial control background; Experience with IFCA system a plus; Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; strong people management and mentorship skills .
