Technical Project Manager
(Kuala Lumpur Jobs)
Responsibilities:
- Support Field activities during First Off deployments or Trial/Demo on specific technology field or product
- Lead complex technical projects involving multiple products and support Services organisations during integration
- Provide clear transition plan from Deployment to Maintenance stages
- Transfer technical knowledge to Services staff during on the job training or more formal courses
- Represent Regional Support Center towards Product Groups on a specific technology area (escalation, request for resources, specific customer requirements etc …)
- Analyse risks and propose mitigation related to new product introduction on field for Trial and commercial projects (product maturity, staff readiness, features gap …)
- Ensure regional teams are skilled and well dimensioned against plans and budgets
- Participate to Product developments milestones by providing feed back to Product Group and providing products information to operation teams
- Engage with other RSC worldwide to share experiences, propose synergies (staff, training)
- Support the RSC on setting-up demonstrations & show cases
- Assist Regional Technical Manager to identify the need for NPI resources, forecasts and secures these resources
- Participates in regional project reviews, identifying and driving resolution of items impacting on Applications deliverables and revenue.
- Drives for cost improvements
- Assists in Customer Critical Incident reviews and drives for resolution
- Supports escalation of field problems for product related issues
- Drives for “Operational Excellence” for those projects nominated by the Regional Support Center
- Monitors inventory, and drives for corrective actions
Requirements:
- Engineering degree, background in telecommunications or informatics
- Minimum 10 years experience in telecommunication industry , with significant experience in network applications and/or core network deployments.
- Strong knowledge of Applications (IN, IMS, Multimedia Applications) and Core Network (packet & circuit), IP & UNIX.
- Capacity to assimilate in short time with new technology / product
- Customer-oriented, proactive, possess project management skill & Team spirit.
- Good english communication skills, verbal & written
