Responsibilities:
* Be the customer’s advocate within Wmode to make sure the customers’ interests are met.
* In addition to delivering service excellence, expand the overall service portfolio delivered to the customers and identify new opportunities, making in-person presentations, responding to RFQ and change request documents and negotiating contracts.
* Manage the Wmode bid and proposal process for new and existing customers.
* Incorporate what you learn, in your dealings with the customers, into Wmode’s business development strategy by communicating learning’s in the quarterly sales meeting.
* Responsible for keeping the customers informed of our overall corporate direction, initiatives, products, services and strategies.
* Manage the customers’ overall profitability based on yearly revenue target and provide monthly achievement report to management.
* Oversee service deployment and project planning with regards to timeline, schedules, budget, resource allocation and quality of delivery.
* Perform a quarterly customer satisfaction and sales review, identify flaws in service delivery and product capabilities and take appropriate actions to resolve the issues.
* Own communication and information flow between Wmode and the customer.
* Be responsible for quick resolution of incidents and requests. This includes, but is not limited to daily interaction, presentations, escalations, incident management and maintenance coordination.
* Cooperate with professional services and content distribution departments at Wmode to ensure investigation and timely response of software integration problems and requests are completed to the customer’s satisfaction and contractual requirements.
* Host regularly scheduled operational meetings or phone conferences to review tickets/cases, maintenance activity, metric reports, and other support requests.
* Set up sales meetings and make regular contact with operators and service providers that are not an existing Wmode customer.
* Manage sales plan and funnel with specific objectives of signing new customers to multi-year contracts.
Requirements:
* The Business Development Executive, APAC will be primarily responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Wmode’s existing mobile operator customers in Malaysia. Gaining the trust and confidence of these customers through the development of relationships at all levels of the organization and driving the development of a working relationship with each customer will be key to this role. The Business Development Executive, APAC will also be responsible for introducing new Wmode services to existing customers and growing the recurring revenue within each customer by increasing ARPU and/or total transactions using effective merchandising campaigns and by working strategically with the customer to develop revenue generating sales and marketing techniques. Additionally, the qualified candidate will be responsible for business development in the APAC region, introducing Wmode’s suite of services to qualified operators and service providers.
* As the Business Development Executive, APAC you will be a remote member of the Sales and Marketing team working in Kuala Lumpur. You must be a high-energy, creative and outgoing individual with a background in consumer marketing and/or retail. You get excited when working with mobile phones and their expanding capabilities. You have proven leadership skills and excellent communication skills both oral and written. You must demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently. You must be able to prioritize and maintain well organized work. You work well within an account team and sales organization, provide excellent attention to detail and have the ability to work within tight deadlines. Flexibility to work with rapidly changing requirements is a necessity.
* The ideal candidate will have a Business or Marketing Degree or Diploma and 5 years relevant experience or equivalent.
* You must have existing relationships with Mobile operators and service providers in the APAC region and specifically Kuala Lumpur.
* Desired knowledge and skills include contract knowledge, experience in the Mobile Industry, negotiating skills.
* Fluency in Malay, Cantonese and English essential, other languages are an asset.
