Manufacturing Engineer (Based in China)
(Singapore Job)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and cycles
- Troubleshoot shop issues involving equipment, machinery and tooling and lead solution implementation
- Support and/or lead production’s drive for continuous improvement and change in China plant
- Employs LEAN manufacturing rigorously to all functions
- Drive LEAN processes throughout the team - openly demonstrate support via participation/actions, facilitate team buy-in, identify opportunities for LEAN process improvements
- Develop and maintain and improves shop methods and procedures ( SWIs)
- Support New product development
- Identify, develop and drive projects related to productivity or simplification
- Work closely with other team members (QA, supervisors etc) to share resources, drive - consistent practices, and ensure production goals are met
- Communicate well among team members in Team Wangi meetings
- Motivates and drives technicians’ performance
- Develop TPM and its execution
Requirements:
- A team player who is creative and self motivated
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- At least 5 years experience in similar job function
- Good Knowledge of SPC and FMEA
- 6-Sigma certification or experience will be an added advantage
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels
- Ability to speak and read Mandarin will be an advantage
- Applicants should be Singaporean citizens or hold relevant residence status
