In line with company’s expansion we are currently seeking highly-qualified professional to fill in the following position:
Cognos Analyst / Developer
(Southern Tagalog Job)
Responsibilities:
The Analyst / Developer will work with users, Finance and IT to develop, deploy and maintain business intelligence solutions- such as decision support systems and tools, automated data alert tools, metric and trend reports, dashboard displays and automated scorecards. He/she will be responsible for gathering user requirements, assisting with specification development, writing and executing test scripts, supporting user training and project implementation, and ensuring the overall quality of the reporting solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or Information and Decision Systems, related educational background, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience using Business Intelligence tools – Cognos 8.3 experience preferred
- General knowledge of data warehousing, data manipulation techniques and ETL technologies
- Strong knowledge in SQL database maintenance
- Knowledge of Relational/Star Schema modeling and design
- Exceptional data architecture skills are a must. Experience of Data Modeling based on business requirements and thorough understanding and practical application of relational and dimensional designs
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
