iMocha Consulting is a solutions company specializing in banking and financial services software. In line with our expansion plans we are looking for highly motivated individuals to fill positions for the roles of a Application Support Engineer.
Application Support Engineer
(Kuala Lumpur - Klang Valley)
Responsibilities:
- As Application Support Engineer your main responsibility is to make sure the applications used on our production environment located at the customer’s premises are continuously running smoothly, thus you provide first line support & perform trouble-shoooting, provide initial diagnosis for internal / external escalation, restore & permanently resolve problems logged by customers within a stipulated timeframe (SLA). You will be supported by 2nd level support who will be assisting you remotely, or on-site depending on the nature & criticality of the reported problem.
Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Report to the Support Manager, and/or the Chief Technology Officer
- Ensure production systems are up and running
- Ensure that reported cases are attended to within the stipulated SLA
- Perform initial diagnosis and compile investigation results for escalation
- Restore production system based on instructions from 2nd level support
- Liase with the customer, 3rd party vendors, or partners to resolve issues indirectly related to our systems
- Provide on-site field support / on-call support on shift and rotational basis with your peers
- Review with the Support Manager & CTO on a weekly / bi-weekly / monthly basis cases reported and suggest system improvements to achieve better system uptime
- Prepare SLA reports on a weekly / bi-weekly / monthly basis for management as well as customer reporting
- Prepare incident reports as and when needed
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
- Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Technical & Helpdesk Support or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Unix-based systems
- Working knowledge of the Java programming language
- Familiarity with Apache Struts framework
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
